if you ever happen to be caught in a high school parking lot, trapped in your parking spot by big yellow schoolbuses..... whatever you do, DO NOT try to pull out in front of one.
yesterday my boss and i had a near collision with these giant yellow machines which were rolling out of the parking lot like firetrucks going to a fire. it may have had something to do with the falling temperatures and freezing rain which was predicted for later in the afternoon, but my gut feeling tells me this was just any other day for the bus drivers, and they just like to scare the crap out of other drivers by driving within inches of their vehicle.
we tried to pull out four times before we realized there was just no way we could do it without getting clobbered.
on the plus side... they pulled out so fast, the 20 buses were gone in less than 5 minutes.
but if this ever happens to you, just wait patiently. the buses will not stop for you.
