i just have to share this...
yesterday, an 11-year-old boy (who i see for my clinical placement, and is definitely, a cool kid) told me that my watch was "awesome". i must say that i felt i was just a little bit cooler in the world... it maybe upped my cool factor (i know there's really no such thing) just a couple points or so.
just saying.

doubt
last week, as i was driving in the car, listening to my favorite christian radio station, i had this flash of how stupid it was. how stupid it was to believe in a God that i couldn't see physically; to live by principles and beliefs that were professed over 2000 years ago. and with all that doubt crashing over me for several seconds.. so powerful, that had to give in and question my beliefs, i also embraced the fact that there may always be some doubt.
as christians, we believe in stories that others call myths or legends. there will always be questions that crop up regarding the facts of the basis of my belief in Jesus. but i know there are answers. some i may find, and some may elude me all my life, but how can we know everything. we aren't meant to.
that night, i listened to a talk on doubt in our faith and what to do with that. amazingly, the speaker had the same thought that i did earlier that day.. just go with it. seek the answers, but there will always be doubt that comes and goes. in John 6, when some of Jesus' followers began to turn away, he asked the twelve disciples if they also wanted to leave him. Simon Peter said, Lord, to whom shall we go? Jesus is the only way that provides enough answers to my questions about life. There is nothing else to turn to.

dodge challenger
i know i'm a girl and not supposed to love cars... but i think this car is hot.

this car went past me on the street last week and i found myself trying to catch up to it in traffic because i wanted to look at it again... i know, a little creepy, right? dodge has remade a classic muscle car and i must say, they have done a nice job. (ps. it also comes in an awesome blue color.)
